Storigen picks up $25 million

Storigen Systems said Tuesday that it has raised $25 million in its second round of funding, bringing its total to $34 million. New investor Thomas Weisel Venture Partners contributed $10 million to the round, and additional funding came from Pilot House Ventures and previous investors Battery Ventures, Charles River Ventures and OneLiberty Ventures. Storigen creates software intended to make computer-data storage networks more efficient. The Lowell, Mass.-based company expects the additional capital will fund its business plan for the next two years.
