Storage start-up names new CEO

High-performance storage system start-up BlueArc announced Wednesday that Gianluca Rattazzi is the company's new president and chief executive officer. He replaces Enrico Pesatori, who now is vice chairman of the board. Rattazzi has been chairman since February 2000 and will continue in that post. Previously, he was CEO of Meridian Data, the company that built the Snap line of network-attached storage devices now sold by Quantum.
