W. Quinn Associates, which sells software to manage data-storage systems, has won a multimillion-dollar contract under which Electronic Data Systems will install W. Quinn's software on more than 2,500 Windows 2000 servers used by the U.S. Navy.
The deal, announced this week, is part of a $6.9 billion contract to build the Navy's internal Web site, used by 360,000 people at 300 bases. Reston, Va.-based W. Quinn's StorageCentral SRM software lets administrators monitor and control how much storage space computer users get. It also lets them boost security by preventing certain types of files from being written.
