Storage firm Sanrise to run back-up service

Data storage company Sanrise has acquired the assets of part of Exodus Communications' outsourced computer operations, the companies announced this week. Dublin, Calif.-based Sanrise will take over the DataVault tape storage operation for backing up and restoring information. Under the terms of the deal, Santa Clara, Calif.-based Exodus has invested in Sanrise, and the two companies will continue as global partners. Exodus hosts Internet sites for its customers.
