But Hal Stern offers new hope with his home cellular system, which comprises a "cellular repeater, including a YAGI antenna, a nicely shielded cable and a small AC-powered transmitter."
The result? Five full bars of service. And lest you question his credentials, Stern is the software chief technology officer at Sun Microsystems.
