Technically Incorrect offers a slightly twisted take on the tech that's taken over our lives.
What do you do when your old TV show is finished and your new one hasn't yet started?
You panic, of course. Well, that and grow a beard.
So Stephen Colbert, late of "The Colbert Report," has decided to slum it online in the hope that you will find him and still adore him.
This isn't easy, given that he now has a long, gray beard that makes him seem like The Not Quite Most Interesting Man In The World Anymore.
Still, now that he's succeeding David Letterman on CBS's "The Late Show" (Disclosure: CNET is owned by CBS), he needs to find love wherever he can.
There's already a "Late Show With Stephen Colbert" Web site. It is adorned with a video of Colbert eating what looks like breakfast.
In this new work, Colbert offers a welcome to the Internet, because he's always been up with the times.
He claims to still exist. He claims to have found his beard by the highway.
Sadly, he said that CBS is making him shave it off. Now he's looking for a new image. His plan is to not look like Hitler. So he begins trying the UnHitler look.
Then he experiments with going Amish.
In the end -- oh, why would I spoil it? However, because this is a tech site, I must note that he appears to be wearing a very white strap attached to a very Apple watch.
What can this all mean? Will he be using it regularly on the show to source jokes from the Internet or?
To find out, we'll have to wait until September 8, when he makes his first "Late Show" appearance.
