The can now stream music from the Rhapsody audio service, thanks to the latest beta of the SlimServer software. While longtime Squeezebox fans may remember that Rhapsody was briefly available as an unsupported software plug-in several years ago, this go-around won't require any hacks--Slim now has the blessing of Rhapsody parent RealNetworks. Rhapsody joins Pandora as the second premium audio service available on the Squeezebox.

We'll update our Squeezebox review once we've had a chance to put the beta software through its paces. In the meantime, you can try the SlimServer software yourself--the open-source software project is available as a free multiplatform download from Slim Devices' Web site.
