Online retailer Bluefly.com has received an additional $3 million investment from Soros Private Equity Partners, the company announced Tuesday. The new investment gives Soros control of about 87 percent of the company's stock.

Soros first invested in the retailer in November 2000. Bluefly recently reported that net sales for August rose to $2.4 million, a nearly 9 percent increase from a year ago.
