Antivirus software firm Sophos announced on Monday that the company would be releasing its latest scanner for worms and viruses on Mac OS X. The company had previously released the product for other versions of Apple's Macintosh operating system.

Sophos Antivirus for Mac OS X allows administrators the ability to prevent users from uninstalling the software, and offers centralized installation, configuration, updating and reporting, according to the company. The product will be introduced at the MacWorld Expo in New York later this week.
