Sony's latest MP3 player?

Sony's latest MP3 player?

After what seemed like an eternity, the release of a new Sony Network Walkman MP3 player may be near. According to The Register, the compact flash-based player will be USB plug-in style like the iPod Shuffle, will boast a single-line OLED display, and will come in a variety of candy colors. Our initial take: basic and boring.

Sony hasn't officially launched the player, so details on pricing and availability are nil, at least in the U.S. We're waiting for the next-gen hard drive player that will try to sock it to the iPod. We got hints of the A series pre-CES, but there's still no word from Sony.
