Sony Sponsors Celebrity Charity Drive
Sony is sponsoring a celebrity Christmas card project onine that rewards charities with donation every time a card is ordered.
LOS ANGELES--Sony Pictures Entertainment is sponsoring a charity holiday card event online.
The project lets online users choose a favorite celebrity and charity from the virtual holiday card rack. Once a user has sent a card, the recipient receives instructions via email to pick it up at the Sony Web site. Each card triggers a donation by SPE to the designated charity.
Celebrities taking part in the project include Tony Danza, Ricki Lake, Katey Sagal, Vanna White, and Party of Five's Neve Campbell.
Proceeds from the event will go to charities including AIDS Resource Foundation for Children, American Cancer Society, AmFar, and the Cesar Chavez Foundation.
