More details have surfaced regarding: the boringly-named will be available to pre-order in the UK from 1 September, according to reports.
This Is My Next says it's seen documents that indicate Sony Centre shops in Britain will be taking pre-orders from the beginning of September, but sadly, apart from that tidbit, info on a proper release date and pricing is thin on the ground.
We know that the S1 will run a Sony-skinned version of, the tablet-based version of , will pack a 9.4-inch screen and a peculiar curved back that means it looks a bit like a folded paperback, or a door wedge depending on how generous you're feeling.
Along with its, the dual-screen, inventively named S2, the S1 will chug along on an Nvidia Tegra 2 chip. Both tablets are PlayStation certified, though we're not sure yet what that'll mean, as neither tablet features -style physical buttons.
