Itching to get your hands on your free copy of inFamous, LittleBigPlanet, or Killzone Liberation? You'll be able to grab your free Sony games by the end of May -- Gamasutra reports that Sony is telling partners to look out for reopening on 24 May, but Sony will only say the online gaming emporium will be fully reopened by the end of the month.

Partners include the companies behind Sony games played online and sold through the store. Sony's online games, movie and music sites have been closed for business since the hack a month ago that compromised the personal and financial data of more than 100 million users.

Reports suggest that there will be updates adding different types of content to the Store on 27 and 31 May, followed by another update on 3 June. Sony won't confirm that, telling our buddies at GameSpot that the site will be "fully restored by the end of the month".

Sony is offering a selection of goodies to users to say sorry for the data disaster, including two free games from a short list. They'll be available when the PlayStation Store is restored, so you can choose from Dead Nation, inFamous, LittleBigPlanet, Super Stardust HD, Ratchet and Clank: Quest for Booty and Wipeout HD Fury for the PS3 or LittleBigPlanet, ModNation Racers and Pursuit Force or Killzone Liberation for the PSP.

Sony is also offering identity theft protection to users, including £100,000 insurance for expenses if you suffer identity fraud.
