Sony Music gives ClickRadio license

Sony Music Entertainment says it will allow ClickRadio to use its music catalog in the start-up's hybrid download/streaming music service. ClickRadio mimics an ordinary streaming Web radio site but tries to avoid much of the Net's bandwidth issues by keeping all the music stored on a listener's local computer hard drive. ClickRadio has similar licensing deals with AOL Time Warner's Warner Music Group, Vivendi Universal's Universal Music Group and Bertelsmann's BMG Entertainment.
