Despite recent challenges from Google Cast, Samsung and others, Sonos is still the gold standard for multiroom music. And its speakers almost never go on sale.
"Almost never" comes this Black Friday, however. The company's entry-level speaker, the Play:1, normally goes for $200, but Best Buy, Target and Sonos's own site will have it for just $150 starting on Thanksgiving.
Our full review called it "a beautiful little bookshelf speaker that feels like it should cost more than it does, with a refined design that looks great anywhere you put it. While its sound quality may not satisfy the pickiest audiophiles, it's awfully good for the size, especially for the secondary listening locations (bedroom, kitchen, office) the Play:1 fits best in." And soon it will support Spotify Connect.
The sale starts at Sonos.com Thanksgiving day and runs through Cyber Monday (November 24 to November 28, 2016), and includes free shipping and an extended 60-day return policy. Target and Best Buy also have the same $150 price as part of their Black Friday sales.
