Sonos delays music system

Start-up says its product needs some fine-tuning.

Start-up Sonos is delaying the arrival of its Digital Music System, a $1,199 product that streams music throughout the home using a series of remotely controlled wireless amplifiers to play music stored on a home PC. The company announced its plans for the device in June and said at the time that it would ship this fall.

A Sonos representative said in a statement Monday that the product was delayed until mid-January "due to some fine-tuning the company needs to make in regards to system performance."
