Snapchat pulls racially insensitive lens

Snapchat removes a filter within a day of its release following a big backlash and accusations of racism.

Snapchat briefly introduced a lens it claimed was inspired by anime. However, a lot of people noticed that the resulting image looked kind of really, really racist. This is Snapchat's second race-based controversy just this year. Back in April, the company introduced a Bob Marley lens that darkened the skin of the user among other things.
