Customers can access the store via the latest version of the Skype desktop client, but will not be able to buy products directly through Skype. Instead customers will be able to view comparative shopping results on the Skype site, to be aggregated by Shopping.com in Australia.

"We are excited to extend the Skype shop to Australia and make available to our users Skype Certified accessories," said Dan Neary, general manager for Skype in Asia Pacific.

Skype Certified products are audio and video accessories (like headsets and webcams) that have been tested by the Skype team, which are known to be compatible and will, in some cases, optimise the Skype calling experience.
