'Sims' to set up home in Xbox, GameCube

Leading games publisher Electronic Arts announced Thursday that it will create versions of its hit PC game "The Sims" for Microsoft's Xbox and Nintendo's GameCube consoles. "The Sims" is the biggest-selling PC game ever, with more than 8 million copies of various editions sold.

EA earlier this month introduced the first console version of "The Sims," for Sony's PlayStation 2 system. The company also is struggling to build an audience for the new online version of the game. The Xbox and GameCube versions are set to debut this spring.
