Short Take: Yahoo launches Brazilian directory

Yahoo has launched Yahoo Brasil, an Internet guide for Web users in Brazil. The directory includes more than 12,000 Brazilian Web sites and other Portuguese-language sites. It also features free email through Yahoo Mail as well as sports, entertainment, and general news stories relevant to the region, Yahoo said. This is Yahoo's first country-specific Web guide for Latin America and the 19th world property in Yahoo's global network.
