Short Take: X.com raises $30 million

X.com, an online payment service, has raised $30 million from new and existing investors, the company is expected to announce. French retail bank Credit Agricole is among its investors. The Palo Alto, Calif.-based company, which operates the auction payment service PayPal.com, plans to use the money to expand internationally and promote its wireless payment service. In April, the 17-month-old company raised $100 million from investors including Madison Dearborn Partners.
