Short Take: Weather Channel launches on AOL

The Weather Channel's Web site has launched as the premier weather information provider to America Online. Through the alliance, Weather.com will provide AOL, AOL.com, Netscape Netcenter and CompuServe with detailed weather coverage, including access to current conditions, weather-related news coverage, maps, safety and educational information, and daily forecasts for tens of thousands of locations worldwide. In addition, Weather.com will advertise AOL on its cable network and other promotional outlets.
