Taking a step closer to making its wireless broadband plans a reality, Worldcom has selected equipment maker Vyyo to provide modems and transmitting stations for its upcoming high-speed wireless Net service. The phone giant has already begun offering the service in Memphis, Tenn., and has plans to add 29 other cities over the next several years.
