Short Take: Visual modeling standard revised

IBM, ObjecTime, and Rational Software will create a revised visual modeling language standard under an agreement between the companies. A Unified Modeling Language (UML) defines a graphical language for modeling software system components. IBM and ObjectTime together had proposed a UML, as had Rational and its partners. The proposed revision will merge the two.
