Short Take: Video technology company gets $33 million infusion

RichFX, a NewYork-based company that provides compression technology for retailers to deliver computer-generated video, said Tuesday it has received $33 million in a round of financing led by Morgan Stanley Dean Witter. Other investors include Mellon Ventures and Itochu International. Previous financial partners adding to the investment include RealNetworks and Coral Ventures. RichFX plans to develop its technology, expand marketing and sales, and invest in additional research and development.
