Internet service provider Verio posted a second-quarter net loss of $26.3 million or $1.44 per share, compared with a net loss of $8.1 million, or $7.28 per share, posted for the second quarter a year ago. The losses include costs associated with both acquisitions and the redirection of traffic from third-party carriers to the Verio network. Revenues for the second quarter increased 34 percent over the previous quarter.
