Short Take: Verio leases more capacity from Qwest

Verio, a business Internet service provider, will lease additional fiber optic capacity from Qwest Communications International for $60 million. The agreement extends the companies' existing 15-year $100 million deal. Verio, which expanded its services to more than 260,000 customers with its recent purchase of Hiway Technologies, utilizes Qwest lines for about 50 percent of its capacity.
