Short Take: Verio buys into ClarkNet

Verio, a national ISP focused on small and midsized businesses, has acquired a majority interest in Maryland-based Clark Internet Services (ClarkNet). Verio is creating a national network of business ISPs with an eye toward an initial public offering next year. Terms of Verio's purchase of a majority interest in ClarkNet were not disclosed.
