Short Take: USA.net pulls in $60 million

Email outsourcing firm USA.net has collected $60 million in a funding round led by Chase Capital Partners that included GE Equity, ABS Ventures and Hewlett-Packard. The company named David Ramon as president and chief executive officer. USA.net, whose customers include American Express, HP and United Airlines, for an initial public offering in April and withdrew that bid in August.
