Short Take: United to build high-speed travel site
United Airlines and On2.com, a broadband content provider, are joining forces to create the first broadband travel Web site, the companies said today. The site is expected to include online "television quality" travel videos and e-commerce offerings. The companies agreed to jointly develop and market the site. The new travel site, which will launch sometime in spring of this year, comes almost a month after New York-based United created an e-commerce subsidiary.
