Using the U.S. Federal Communications Commission as a model, the United Kingdom plans to combine its telecom regulatory agencies into one new agency called the Office of Communications. The new agency will include the Office of Telecommunications, the Independent TV Commission, the Radio Authority and the Broadcasting Standards Commission, the Times of London reported. Ironically, the move comes as members of Congress and FCC officials are looking to restructure the FCC.
