Short Take: TiVo scores with NFL Hall of Famers
TiVo announced Wednesday that former San Francisco 49er greats Joe Montana and Ronnie Lott have joined the San Jose, Calif. based-company. Montana will become the "offensive coordinator, sports marketing." Lott, who also played for the Los Angeles Raiders and the New York Jets, will serve as the "defensive coordinator, sports marketing." In their new positions, Montana and Lott will help develop TiVo's sports marketing plan. Montana recently joined former teammates Harris Barton and Lott as a general partner of Champion Ventures, a venture capital investment firm for people involved in sports. Champion's venture partner, New Enterprise Associates, has invested in TiVo.
