Short Take: Time Warner offers Road Runner in N.Y.

Time Warner Cable is launching its high-speed Internet-over-cable service in New York. The Road Runner online service will initially be available in Southern Manhattan, although the company expects to deploy the service in Queens, Brooklyn, and Staten Island in 2000. Road Runner is the nation's second-largest cable modem service provider.
