Short Take: Ticketmaster sees growth in online ticket sales

Ticketmaster Group says it is experiencing rapid growth in online ticketing, having sold nearly 400,000 tickets worth over $16.7 million in the fourth quarter ended January 31, 1998. According to the company, sales through the Ticketmaster Online service accounted for approximately 2.5 percent of fourth-quarter business, and 22 percent of the tickets sold online represent new business to Ticketmaster.
