Short Take: Tellme gains Nokia counsel

Silicon Valley start-up said it hired Joe "Chip" Pitts as its general counsel. Prior to joining Tellme, Pitts was vice president and chief legal officer of Nokia, a wireless and telecommunications equipment supplier. Tellme's service combines the telephone and the Internet to provide consumers with information. The service, created by former Netscape Communications employees, is scheduled to launch in the first half of next year.
