Short Take: SyQuest and Nomai SA settle lawsuit

SyQuest Technology has reached an agreement settling the lawsuit it filed in January against Nomai S.A. of Avranches, France, for patent, copyright, and trademark infringement and certain other causes of action. Under the terms of the agreement, Nomai will be granted a royalty-bearing license to produce 3-inch and 5-inch replacement cartridges for SyQuest removable disk drives. Also, the two companies will enter into a cross-licensing arrangement and Nomai will begin to sell SyQuest products on a private-label basis.
