Short Take: Syncronys announces net loss

Syncronys Softcorp announced a net loss of $1.59 million, or 11 cents per share, for its fiscal quarter ending September 30 and reported revenues of $127,000. This is compared with a net income of $4.1 million, or 29 cents a share, and revenues of $10.5 million for the same quarter last year. The company's loss last year stemmed from the recall of its core product, SoftRAM95, which had been a top-selling software product for many months until it was found to be ineffective with Windows 95. Syncronys will also introduce five new products at Comdex.
