When Sybase acquired meta data management provider Intellidex Systems last February, the company paid $5 million in cash and also assumed certain liabilities. And the database maker also agreed to pay up to an additional $10 million over a three-year period, providing certain performance criteria is met, according to a Securities and Exchange Commission filing. Terms of the deal were not initially disclosed when the deal was announced.
