Short Take: Swedish start-up unveils IP networking tech

Swedish networking start-up Dynarc announced plans for a new high-end device that ties older phone networks to Internet protocol (IP)-based networks, a huge trend in telecommunications. The Dynarc 500 router and switch includes the use of an internally-developed protocol called dynamic synchronous transfer mode (DTM), which can allow a network operator to provision links to customers. The new device will enter tests soon with availability scheduled for the second quarter of next year.
