Sun Microsystems this week will ship Solaris NEO 2.0, a new version of its object request broker that supports the CORBA 2.0 standard. Solaris NEO 2.0, which will sell for $195 per client and server, will be able to work with other CORBA-compliant applications such as Netscape Communications' SuiteSpot 3.0 servers. This week, Sun will also ship Internet Workshop 1.0, a $5,995 development environment for creating NEO 2.0 applications in Java, C, or C++.
