Short Take: Storage management firm gets funding

CreekPath Systems, a company whose software eases management of storage devices, has received $23 million from TeleSoft Partners, Sequel Venture Partners and Exabyte. The funding includes $17 million in equity and as much as $6 million in debt, allowing it to increase its programming, sales and professional services staff, the company said. CreekPath, which was spun off from Exabyte, sells software that makes it easier for companies that pay others to run their storage systems.
