Short Take: Sprint closes wireless cable deal

Sprint has completed its purchase of American Telecasting, one of several high-speed wireless data companies it is buying to compete with AT&T's new cable TV systems. Sprint will use the company to deliver TV, high-speed Internet, and telephone services in 55 markets around the United States. Plans to acquire four other small "wireless cable" companies are still pending.
