Sprint today named Don Hallacy as president of the company's newly formed Internet Backbone & Related Services business unit. The unit is responsible for identifying and consolidating the resources and services that comprise Sprint's Internet backbone and increasing the focus on the Internet portion of the company's business. Hallacy returns to Sprint where he spent seven years in various executive technical positions before becoming president and chief executive of Eltrax Systems, an applications services provider serving small and medium-sized businesses.
