Short Take: Sonic Solutions brings DVD publishing home

Sonic Solutions, based in Novato, Calif., has begun shipping MyDVD, a software that allows people to publish DVD content on low-cost CD recorders at home. MyDVD, which costs $99, lets people create interactive scrapbooks with videos, images and music. MyDVD also includes a software viewer on each disc, so the content can be played on any PC equipped with high-speed CD-ROM and DVD-ROM drives.
