Contract manufacturer Solectron said it completed the acquisition of Sony's manufacturing plant in Miyagi, Japan, as part of a broader agreement announced by the companies in October. The 126,700-square-foot plant will produce high-end consumer products such as automobile satellite navigation systems and car audio systems for Sony and other customers. Along with the facility, Solectron acquired 1,145 Sony employees.
