Short Take: Snap debuts high-speed portal

Snap, the Internet portal from NBC and News.com publisher CNET: The Computer Network, has launched a preview of its new, free service for higher-speed Internet users. Formerly called Snap "Cyclone," the service showcases "rich media" such as video, audio, gaming, animation, and telephony. Snap also announced new content and charter advertising partners including A&E Television Networks, Bank of America, House of Blues Digital, Inktomi, Staples.com, Tower Records, Toyota, and the World Wrestling Federation.
