Short Take: SGI names new CFO

Silicon Graphics has named Steven Gomo as its chief financial officer, marking one of the first major moves by the company's newly named chairman and CEO, Rick Belluzzo, who joined SGI about one month ago. The CFO spot had been vacant since May 1997. Gomo most recently was general manager of Inkjet Manufacturing Operations at Hewlett-Packard.
