Short Take: Server firm Mirapoint gets new investors

Van Wagoner Capital Management and others have invested $38 million in Mirapoint, a company that provides services and special-purpose servers for email and messaging. Other new investors include Fremont Communications, Pivotal Asset Management and Robertson Stephens' Bayview 2000, the company said. Earlier backers who added to their investments include Worldview Technology Partners, Goldman Sachs and Amerindo Investment Advisors.
