Securant Technologies nabbed $31 million in its third financing round. The funding, led by Oak Investment Partners and Merrill Lynch, will help it expand product development, marketing, sales and international operations. Securant's ClearTrust software suite lets businesses securely control a person?s access to Web-based software, content and transactions. The company also announced that Inktomi COO Richard Pierce and Fred Harman, a general partner at Oak Investment, have joined its board.
