Short Take: SAP's revenues are up

SAP AG, provider of business application software, announced that its sales for the first nine months of 1996 rose 33 percent to $1.6 billion compared to the same period in 1995. Product revenues climbed 30 percent to $1.2 million: R/3 sales rose 39 percent, while R/2 sales declined 14 percent. Income before tax rose 33 percent to $339 million from $256 million last year. SAP did not expect a slower quarter, but weakness in some markets lowered sales, the company said.
